Much of my artwork has been concerned with image/text explorations (context, sequence, appropriation, fiction). I've created book works, double page spreads, comics, net art, sequential image installations, altered maps, diptychs, triptychs and billboards and I have collaborated with fiction writers. My concurrent pursuit within the realm of abstract painting involves a very different approach where intuition, chance and nonverbal rules influence my way of working.
I have recently concluded (2016) a 35 year teaching career specializing in photography and digital media which included positions at Otis Art Institute, UCLA, UCR, the University of Washington (etc.) and served as chair of the Digital Media Arts program at Orange Coast College in Southern California.
